Mexico to impose compensatory duty against steel plate from Russia, Ukraine

It is reported that Mexico's Ministry of Economy has finished an investigation against steel plate imports from Russia and Ukraine.

The investigation follows a complaint filed by Mexican steelmaker AHMSA on 25th of February, 2013.

It was published in the Federal Official Diary (DOF) says there were significant evidences show that the domestic market prices were discriminated by such imports.

Therefore, Ministry of Economy concluded to impose compensatory duties of 36.8% on imports from Russia and 60.1% from Ukraine. Products are listed under HS code 7225.40.01 and 7225.40.02.
