It's reported that Taiwan's demand for the electric furnace (EF) killed wire rods are expected to rise in the near future, driven by rising scrap prices.

In fact, the prices of EF killed wire rods have hovered at NT$19,000/ton for a period of time in the Taiwanese market.

Industry sources said that the demand for the EF killed wire rods might be boosted by the rising scrap prices. Accordingly, the transaction pries of EF killed wire rod might rise.

Meanwhile, the quotes of the US HMS 80:20 (1&2) to Taiwan have increased to US$373/ton C&F recently.
