China's non-financial outbound direct investment (ODI) rose 1.8 percent year-on-year to $60.07 billion in 2011, the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) said Wednesday.
The figure brings China's total non-financial ODI to $322 billion as of the end of 2011, the MOC said.
China has made investments in 132 countries and regions in 2011, with the ODI in Europe and Africa up 57.3 percent and 58.9 percent, respectively, to $4.61 billion and $1.7 billion, the MOC said.
Investment through mergers and acquisitions, mainly in the mining, manufacturing, electricity, communications and retail sectors, hit $22.2 billion in 2011, accounting for 37 percent of the total ODI, the MOC added.(Source:Xinhua)
