China Shenhua Energy said coal output and coal sales in September rose 19.5 percent and 29.4 percent year-on-year to 22.7 million tons and 32.6 million tons, respectively, reports www.cnchemicals.com, citing a company filing.
Coal exports in September declined 66.7 percent year-on-year to 300,000 tons. During the first nine months, coal output rose 26.3 percent year-on-year to 209.9 million tons, while coal sales increased 34.5 percent to 286.4 million tons.
Total coal exports fell 47.6 percent year-on-year to 4.4 million tons during the same period. The company's power generation and distribution volumes in September increased 40.2 percent and 41.6 percent year-on-year to 15.62 tWh and 14.58 tWh, respectively. During the first nine months, power generation volume rose 26.4 percent to 134.86 tWh, while power distribution volume increased 26.6 percent to 125.66 tWh.
