It's reported that Shanxi Taihang Mining Co., Ltd. contracted with Mines and Metals Engineering (MME) GmbH, owned by the Iranian government, to import the technology to use coke oven gas to reduce iron in industrial production.
The Iranian technology can increase the purity of iron to 98%, which is higher than the traditional blast furnace iron-making in an iron purity of 60-70%.
All the related projects will be operated from 2014 to 2014.
