China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (April 15-21) the average steel price in China decreased by 0.2 percent compared to the previous week.
In particular, in the given week prices of 3 mm hot rolled steel sheet, 80 mm x 43 mm x 5 mm channel steel and 1 mm galvanized steel sheet decreased by 0.4 percent, 0.3 percent and 0.3 percent, all week on week.
In the week ending April 21, average prices of minerals in China declined by one percent compared to the previous week. Furthermore, the average prices of copper ore, lead ore, zinc ore and iron ore declined by 3.7 percent, 3.2 percent, 2.0 percent and 0.9 percent, all compared to the previous week.
Meanwhile, in the given week, average prices of energy in China were down 0.6 percent week on week. The average prices of crude oil, raw coal and coke decreased by 2.4 percent, 0.3 percent and 0.2 percent respectively, all on week-on-week basis.
