China's electricity consumption up 3.6% in Aug

China's electricity consumption reached 449.5 terawatt hours (TWh) in August this year, up 3.6%% compared to the same period of last year, according to statistics released by the National Energy Administration.In the first eight months of this year, the country consumed 3,282.8 TWhs of electricity, 5.1% more than that in the corresponding period of last year.
