Chinese silicon steel exports rose notably in 2011

Accordingly, in 2011 China had imported 0.9486 million t of silicon steel products, down 2.52% compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, China also had exported 0.2355 million t of silicon steel products, swelling by 51.17% year over year.

In December of 2011, Chinese overall silicon steel imports totaled 66500 t, decreasing by 5.14% month over month and by 19.36% year over year. At the same time, the oriented silicon steel imports had amounted to 27031 t, surging by 43.06% month over month and by 53.52% year over year. Besides, Chinese non-oriented silicon steel imports stood at 39490 t, decreasing by 23.18% month over month and by 39.11% year on year.

In addition, Chinese overall silicon steel exports reached 28000 t in last December, surging by 7.28% month over month and 129.51% year over year. Meanwhile, the oriented silicon steel exports came to 2035 t, increasing by 16.96% month over month and by 40.17% year over year. Meanwhile, the non-oriented silicon steel exports had amounted to 26004 t, swelling by 6.59% month over month and by 141.96% year over year.
