In January to October of this year, Chinese overall coke output amounted to 358 million metric tons, surging by 13.65% year over year. While in October alone Chinese coke production stood at 35.7385 million metric tons, rising by 10.7% as compared to the same period of previous year.
Looking at coke production regionally, Shanxi was the largest coke producer among the provinces surveyed in the January to October of this year. Shanxi's coke output was 75.809 million metric tons in the given period, accounting for roughly 21.18% of the overall coke production in China, followed by Hebei, Shandong and Henan, with quotas of 14.6%, 9.3% and 6.66% respectively in the domestic overall production.
