On November 11, CNPC signed cooperation agreements with 13 universities including Peking University, Tsinghua University and China University of Petroleum (Beijing), to set up a new round of CNPC Scholarship to foster young talents for the petroleum and petrochemical industry.
The newly signed agreements saw a rise in both the scholarship volume and award criteria, and favor underprivileged students and students of lower grade. Since the establishment of CNPC Scholarship ten years ago, CNPC has awarded and assisted nearly 8,000 underprivileged students and outstanding students.
CNPC President Zhou Jiping had a talk with representatives from the 13 universities. The representatives visited CNPC Historical Exhibition Hall and Beijing Oil & gas Pipeline Control Center. CNPC Scholarship Team Leader and CNPC Assistant President Li Wanyu, Deputy Chief Financial Officer Wen Qingshan and Deputy Chief Economist Guan Xiaohong were present at the related events.
