On January 15, CNPC pipeline emergency response center was founded at China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau in Langfang, Hebei Province. During the 11th Five-Year Plan period, CNPC has established the firefighting rescue center, offshore emergency response center, hazardous chemicals emergency response center, and well-control and extinguishment rescue center successively. The pipeline emergency response center is a complementary part of CNPC's emergency response system, which will proactively ensure the safety of oil and gas production and transportation.

In the past five years, with China's oil and gas pipeline industry seen rapid growth, CNPC has newly built 4,000 kilometers of crude pipeline,11,000 kilometers of gas pipeline and 7,000 kilometers of oil products pipeline.
