Brazil's June fertiliser deliveries down 4.3%
Brazil's June fertiliser deliveries totalled at 2.47 million tonnes, down 4.3% from 2.58 million tonnes on-year, statistics from national fertiliser distributors association, Anda.
For the first six months of the year, deliveries increased 5.6% on-year to 11.7 million tonnes from 11.1 million tonnes.
Domestic production of fertiliser intermediates totalled 797,441 tonnes last month, down 5.7% on the year. In January-June output fell 0.2% to 4.49 million tonnes.
Meanwhile, imports of fertiliser intermediates increased by 24.2% to 2.06 million tonnes in June versus a year ago. Imports in January-June fell 13.6% on-year to 7.83 million tonnes.
Exports of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertiliser slumped 25.6% last month to 56,128 tonnes. In the first six months exports fell 32.5% to 208,458 tonnes.
