Vietnamese swine producers study Nebraska's feed and genetics
Some major swine producers in Vietnam are in Nebraska this week to learn more about feed and genetics and to possibly buy the products.
Stan Garbacz of the state Department of Agriculture said Monday (August 2) that Vietnamese government officials and an official with the USDA were part of the delegation in Nebraska.
The delegation is travelling on today, August 3, to Waldo Farms near DeWitt, Nebraska. Waldo Farms specialises in swine genetics.
On Wednesday (August 4), the delegation members will learn about feed nutrition at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. On Thursday (August 5), they will visit International Nutrition in Omaha, a feed manufacturer.
