Brother Enterprises's business turns into profit in H1 2014
Brother Enterprises Holding Co., Ltd. (Brother Enterprises) posted net profit of RMB12.66 million (US$2.06 million) in the first half of 2014, a significant gain compared to a net loss of RMB1.45 million (US$235,567.86) in the same period of last year.
The company's operating income totalled RMB376 million (US$61.09 million) in the same period, slipping by 2.63% on-year.
Brother Enterprises says that the increase in profit is mainly due to the rising profit margin on vitamin products and falling operating cost.
Price of the company's vitamin B1 product rose by RMB70/kg (US$11.37/kg) in the first six months, 58% to 67% higher than that of the same period of last year. Gross profit margin on Vitamin B3 also increased by 17%.
