Over the past few weeks, prices continued to rise.
   
   
The production of vitamin E dropped substantially of late as several producers reduced output or halted operation. Prices increased in Europe as well as the US, lending support to the China market despite slack domestic demand.
   
   
In Europe, local producers' price quotes of vitamin E were higher in the range of EUR9.55-10.40/kg.
