Guangzhou China, July 5, 2011 – Domestic professional market research company CCM Information Science and Technology published new report Production and Market of Paraformaldehyde in China. This report releases that Chinese paraformaldehyde industry developed fast in the past 5 years. However, with the technological improvement and production expansion, the import volume of PF keeps decreasing in recent years, while it is increasing for export.
The newest statistical data in the report shows, China’s PF capacity is 491,000t/a as of April 2011, accounting for 57% worldwide. Moreover, in 2010, the consumption of PF reaches 143,500 tonnes in China, holding 43% of the total globally. However, both the output and consumption of PF have slowed much in China in 2009 and 2010 due to the downturn of downstream industries impacted by financial crisis. And China's PF industry is recovering difficultly in 2009 and 2010.
China is still a net importer of PF in 2010. Compared with the past few years, China's import of PF in recent years decreases near a half.
