Nineteen people lost their lives in a
coal
mine accident in northern China’s Shanxi province, official Xinhua News Agency reported on March 24.On March 23 22:10 p.m., a fatal accident occurred on an underground platform at Tongsheng Anping Coal Industry in Shuozhou city, Shanxi. There were 129 people underground when the accident happened. And 110 people reached safety. One forced caving in a mined-out area led to collapse in a large area and a storm, which was the main reason for the accident, Xinhua said. The mine, which is under state-run Datong Coal Mine Group, has a capacity of 0.9 million tonnes per annum, and has complete set of license documents.Safety concern has been getting increasingly urgent, as loss-making miners may cut the expense on security maintenance to survive the hard times.CCR cordially invites you to participate in the 6th Global Coking Coal Resource & Market Summit to be held from 24th to 25th March 2016 in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province. The summit will provide professional insights on great changes that will impact market players over the mid and long term and how they should cement their positions in the market.
