Buoyant demand strengthens lysine prices in China

Lysine prices rebounded during the week ending May 3.

Lysine demand was buoyant before the May Day holidays as feed millers stocked more than they initially planned, while CBOT soy futures prices rose for most parts of the week. Hence, producers lifted prices amid low inventory pressure.

Price quotes of 70-percent lysine were higher at RMB4.60-5/kg.

RMB1=US$0.1538 (May 4)
